Set Contents Breakdown

For each of the 5 thread sizes (M5, M6, M8, M10, M12), the set includes a complete dedicated installation kit:

• 5 × HSS Twist Drill Bits: Sized specifically to clear out damaged threads before tapping.

• 5 × HSS STI Thread Taps: Special Screw Thread Insert (STI) taps to cut receiving threads for the wire inserts.

• 5 × Insert Installation Tools: Mandrel tools to wind the wire inserts into the freshly tapped hole.

• 5 × Tang Break-Off Tools: Punch tools to cleanly snap off the drive tang after insert placement.

• 1 × Hex Key Wrench: For adjusting the collar depth on installation tools.

• 110 × Wire Thread Inserts:

  • 25 Pcs each: M5, M6, M8, M10

Operating Sequence

1. Drill Out: Clear the damaged or stripped threads using the corresponding HSS drill bit.

2. Tap Hole: Cut new oversized threads using the STI tap in the set.

3. Install Coil: Load the wire insert onto the installation tool and thread it into the tapped hole until flush or slightly below the surface.

4. Break Tang: Place the tang breaker tool on the driving tang and tap sharply with a hammer to remove it, leaving a clean, continuous thread.
